Kiln-dried, rough cut lumber is sold by the board foot (12 inches wide, 1 foot long and 4/4 and 5/4) and is available in various widths and lengths.

Red oak flooring, also kiln-dried, is 3/4 inches thick, milled, and ready to install in 2-1/4 inch, 3-1/4 inch and 4-inch widths in various lengths.
