Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-291-5001 ext.0 seven days a week from the hours of 9am-11pm. You will need a major credit card to make a reservation. You must be over the age of 18 to reserve and stay with us. Rates are based in U.S. dollars. Our current tax rate is 13% (7% sales tax & 6% bed taxes).

Castle rates are based on double occupancy. There is a $15.00 charge for each extra adult up to the maximum occupancy for the suite.


A deposit equal to the first full night stay is required to be paid to secure a reservation. This deposit is charged to a major credit card at the time of making the reservation. We accept all major credit cards. Reservations can not be made without a major credit card.

Check In/Out

Our check in time is 3:00 p.m. Early arrival will result in unnecessary waiting time. Due to the logistics and complexity of our suites, our housekeepers need all the time allotted to them between 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. to clean the rooms. If you will need to check in after 10:00 p.m. please make arrangements with the Front Desk. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. A late check out of 12:00 p.m. is available to a limited number of suites when pre arranged with the Front Desk. A violation of the check out time will result in a fee.


Due to our limited size, any cancellations have a significant effect. Consequently, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. If you cancel prior to two weeks before the date you receive a refund of your deposit. There is no refund of your deposit if you cancel within two weeks of your reservation date. For additional nights booked, payment will be collected at time of check in. There is no refund of this payment for early check-out. Any guest that does not cancel and does not show up for their scheduled reservation will be charged for their entire stay.

Massage Policy

All massages are to be booked upon confirmation with our Licensed Massage Therapists and will be charged 50% of the cost of the massage with the remainder due at check-in. Our cancellation policy is a 72 hour policy. Any massages not cancelled 72 hours, or more, before the scheduled time of the massage will be billed the full amount of the massage.

Current Reservations Changes

Current reservations can be changed up to one time at least 5 Days in advance. You will need to know the date you would like to change your reservation to when you call to change. We do not guarantee pricing and availability for the date the reservation is changed to. Changing a reservation more than one time or less than 5 days in advance will result in a forfeiture of the deposit.

Cancellations due to Severe Weather

You may only cancel a reservation less than two weeks prior to the reservation date for a full refund due to severe weather if there is a driving ban in effect. We do allow you to move the date of your reservation due to severe weather, with less than 24 hours notice. We are not responsible for severe weather that may affect the drive here or if the electric is affected due to weather. No refunds will be issued in these cases.

Pet Policy

We do not allow pets of any kind other than licensed service animals. Guests found in violation of this policy will be evicted from the property and no refund will be issued. If a guest is found in violation of this policy and there is any damage to the suite, you will be required to pay for any damages.

Event Ticket Policy

All event tickets sold by Landoll’s Mohican Castle and it’s subsidiaries are non-refundable.

Smoking Policy

We are a non smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted in any of our buildings or suites. Violations of this policy will result in eviction from the property and you will be charged a cleaning fee and you will not be permitted to rent a room with us in the future.

Liquor Policy

The Castle is a liquor permit holder, and in accordance with Ohio Liquor Laws, alcoholic beverages must be purchased from Landoll’s Mohican Castle if consumed in a public space. We thank you for your cooperation.

Charitable Donation Policy

Landoll’s Mohican Castle is committed to our local community. We contribute to many different charitable organizations for the benefit of enhancing the quality of life for area residents.

To that effect, Landoll’s Mohican Castle will consider donating to the following types of organizations:

  • Nonprofit charities that have been granted tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code;
  • Any organization that provides a compelling case for enhancement of the communities in the State of Ohio.

Landoll’s Mohican Castle will not donate to the following types of organizations:

  • Those individuals or organizations that discriminate against protected classes as defined by federal law;
  • Individuals;
  • For-profit companies or efforts;
  • Political campaigns or political lobbying groups;
  • Any campaign, conference, or organization in conflict with our business interests.

Landoll’s Mohican Castle primarily donates gift certificates with cash value toward Castle amenities that cannot be redeemed for cash. All requests must be submitted in writing on organization letterhead at least 2 weeks prior to need. Requests can be presented in person or via email (jimmy@landollsmohicancastle.com). The request must include the following information:

  • Primary contact name, email address and telephone number
  • Date of event
  • Short description of the organization and its purpose
  • Proof 501(c)(3) non-profit status
  • List of sponsorship benefits, i.e. presence of ad, logo, or banner, tickets
  • Type of support requested. We offer one of two gift certificates; 
    1. Free night stay in a Castle suite on a Sunday through Thursday night
    2. A cash value used toward a stay or dining at the Castle

Upon receipt of gift certificate, the organization must provide a receipt of the donation.

Various Guidelines

The Castle staff will make every attempt to make your stay memorable and relaxing. We know our guests seek to escape or retreat to the Castle. Therefore, we want to accommodate your needs without being intrusive. We are welcome to attend to your needs and ask that you contact the Front Desk immediately should you have any problems. Each of our suites are uniquely designed and built. Therefore, it takes a lot of effort to maintain the custom-built suites and amenities. We appreciate your comments and suggestions about the functionality of our suites.

Please be aware that special amenities are available certain times of the year. The fireplaces in each suite are gas fireplaces (Macbeth is electric). They are available primarily in the winter months. The heat generated by the pilot light alone can overwhelm the temperature in a suite. We want you to enjoy the fireplaces, but we do not want to create heat-related problems with other amenities, such as our air conditioners. In addition, our restaurant, is open for dinner every evening for most of the year. Our menu remains the same, as we have put great effort into the design of the menu ingredients and sourcing those ingredients. The restaurant serves lunch on the weekends during our peak seasons, which is late spring, summer and fall. In the winter, our restaurant has limited dinner hours.

Finally, since we are purposefully located in a remote part of Ohio, we are limited in some of our access to utilities, such as cellular signals and internet access. The larger cellular companies have adequate coverage at the Castle. However, we suggest you check with your cellular provider to see if the Castle area is included in their coverage. We provide limited wireless access to the internet. Our wifi is free for overnight guests. However, we ask that you limit your usage to basic use of data and refrain from streaming video or other large amounts of data.
