The Drive Out Is Half the Point
Loudonville isn’t on the way to anywhere, and honestly that’s the appeal. Once your group is up here, they’re in thirty acres of forest with a castle in the middle of it, and there’s not much pulling anyone back into town for the evening. Being equidistant from Cleveland and Columbus also means no one on the team draws a much worse journey than anybody else. And if you’d rather have the place entirely to yourselves, the whole property at Landoll’s Mohican Castle can be bought out for a multi day retreat, so no other guests drift past your session.
Where Your Team Sleeps
We have 33 onsite suites, which means a mid sized group fits without splitting across two hotels. Eleven suites sit inside the original castle. Four more are in the Highland Building, and certain pairs adjoin, handy for colleagues travelling together. The Suites at the Stables come as Kings and Double Queens, two cottages sit on site, and the 2-Bedroom and 3-Bedroom French Country Villas each have a full kitchen, dining for six to eight, and a covered deck with a hot tub. One thing to flag: suites are entered from outside and there are no elevators.
Meals Built Around Your Agenda
Our own kitchen handles breakfast, lunch and dinner, and we put the menus together with you instead of handing over a fixed package. Private custom buffets or plated service, whichever suits the day you’ve planned, served in one of our private event spaces so your group keeps a room to itself. Coffee, espresso and tea service runs through the day, with hors d’oeuvres or late night snacks to fill the gaps. The Marta Louise Ballroom seats 215 when you want everyone together. Sunday through Thursday hours are 9 AM to 9 PM, extendable for an added cost.
What Happens Between Sessions
This is where a castle starts to earn its keep. The pool house opens 9 AM to 10 PM with an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna, and it’s included for anyone staying over. There’s a game room inside it, pool table and all. Outdoors there’s a pickleball and basketball court for overnight guests, propane fire pits, a scenic trail, and the Red Oak Tower, an observation deck with two 360 degree levels.
