We have 33 onsite suites, which means a mid sized group fits without splitting across two hotels. Eleven suites sit inside the original castle. Four more are in the Highland Building, and certain pairs adjoin, handy for colleagues travelling together. The Suites at the Stables come as Kings and Double Queens, two cottages sit on site, and the 2-Bedroom and 3-Bedroom French Country Villas each have a full kitchen, dining for six to eight, and a covered deck with a hot tub. One thing to flag: suites are entered from outside and there are no elevators.

Meals Built Around Your Agenda

Our own kitchen handles breakfast, lunch and dinner, and we put the menus together with you instead of handing over a fixed package. Private custom buffets or plated service, whichever suits the day you’ve planned, served in one of our private event spaces so your group keeps a room to itself. What Happens Between Sessions

This is where a castle starts to earn its keep. The pool house opens 9 AM to 10 PM with an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna, and it’s included for anyone staying over. There’s a game room inside it, pool table and all. Outdoors there’s a pickleball and basketball court for overnight guests, propane fire pits, a scenic trail, and the Red Oak Tower, an observation deck with two 360 degree levels. Not an afterthought, this bit. Our Terrace sits below the castle among the natural gardens and the waterfall, seats 200, and has a wooden pergola with trees around it for shade. Our Mary Louetta Pavilion sits under cover with heat laid on, seats 200 as well, and its clear siding drops the moment the weather turns. Smaller gatherings often take the Stables Patio, which holds 50. Fair question, because plenty of places say rotating and mean the same three trays every week. Ours really does move. Between May 3rd and November 1st our chefs put out something different each Sunday, so June won’t look like September, but the staples you turned up for don’t vanish on you either. It runs all morning rather than in sittings, so nobody is timing your table. Coffee drinks and cocktails are also available, plus the countryside through the windows. And yes, we build the Bloody Mary to order.

If You’re Staying the Night

Waking up at Landoll’s Mohican Castle has its perks. The restaurant is located on the same property as our onsite accommodations, so nobody has to drive anywhere before coffee, and there’s coffee and tea in the room if you want a cup before you come down. Sundays change from May 3rd through November 1st. Instead of regular breakfast, we put out a brunch buffet, chef crafted, and the theme moves around week to week while the staples you’re hoping for stay put. Book ahead for that one, it fills up.
